Wash the potatoes and poke holes with a fork on both sides of the potato. I usually do about 3 pokes with the fork on each side. Spritz the potato skin with oil of choice. Place the coarse sea salt on a plate and roll each potato in it.
Place the potatoes in the crisping basket or on the crisping plate and select the air crisp function on 400°F-450°F (varies with air fryer). Set the time for 45 minutes. You don't need to flip the potato, but can halfway through the cooking time if desired.
When the 45 minutes is up, the internal temperature should be around 210°F/99℃ which is the perfect temp for a potato. If it hasn't reached that temp yet, you can AC longer.
Immediately after you remove the potatoes from the basket, cut a slit or two in the top to release the steam if you want to keep your skin crispy.
