2TablespoonButtersalted or unsalted, room temperature
Herb & Seasoning Blend
1Tablespoondried or fresh chivesor green onions finely chopped
Make sure the butter and cream cheese are room temperature. If it is cold, it won't blend smoothly.
Combine the butter and cream cheese in a medium size bowl or in the bowl of stand mixer. Add in the herbs and seasonings. Blend with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed until well mixed and smooth.
Serve immediate or cover and refrigerate until use.
The garlic and herb cheese spread will keep 3-5 days in the refrigerator when stored in a covered container. It can also be frozen for up to 3 months. Place the spread in an airtight container or a freezer bag. Thaw in the refrigerator and mix well before serving.
