These are the 11 Best Ninja Foodi Accessories that I use in my kitchen when developing recipes and cooking with the king of all kitchen applicances!
The Ninja Foodi has taken the market by storm and for good reason! It's incredible. Not only does it pressure cook; it also sears/sautés, bakes/roasts, steams, broils, slow cooks, dehydrates (some models), and air crisps! This magical small kitchen appliance does it all!
If you aren't familiar with the Ninja Foodi or haven't quite decided if it is right for you, check out this article on How to Use the Ninja Foodi. In this article I go over the basic functions of the Ninja Foodi and the different models available.

Shop at Home BEFORE You BUY Ninja Foodi Accessories
As with any pressure cooker, having some Ninja Foodi accessories can really open up a whole new cooking world when it comes to using your appliance. It's not always easy to decide which ones are worth spending money on and which will just sit in your cabinet unused for years! Trust me, I have plenty of those!
The first thing I'd like to say is that you can cook successfully with the Ninja Foodi WITHOUT buying ANYTHING extra and I actually encourage you to do this for a few weeks. This way, you will have the chance to shop at home.
You will be surprised by the items you will find your cabinets that will work in the Ninja Foodi. You will also get more familiar with the Ninja Foodi functions and exactly which Ninja Foodi accessories will work best for YOUR cooking style.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when shopping at home
- Oven safe (up to 425° F) glass is fine for any of the TenderCrisp lid functions and steaming, but not necessarily for pressure cooking. Only use pressure rated glass/ceramic when pressure cooking or you run the risk of it breaking under pressure and that will surely ruin dinner!
- Any aluminium or metal pans can be used with all functions of the Ninja Foodi if it fits in the Ninja Foodi
- Oven safe silicone products are fine to use in the Ninja Foodi with all of the functions, but keep in mind that it does not conduct heat as well. This means that if you are following a recipe that calls for a glass or metal baking dish and use silicone instead, you probably need to increase the cooking time.
After you have an idea of what Ninja Foodi accessories you need and are ready to do a little shopping, here are a few of my suggestions. There are so many options out there and sometimes it's hard to know what accessories will work the best, fit in the Ninja Foodi, and last. I don't usually buy the cheapest kitchen items you can get because I don't want to be bothered with purchasing another one when the lower quality doesn't last.
I have carefully chosen 11 of the best Ninja Foodi accessories that I use on a daily or weekly basis when cooking with my Ninja Foodi. All of these accessories have been thoroughly tested by me and will work in either a 6.5qt or 8qt Ninja Foodi.
These are in no particular order. I love each of these accessories equally!
UPDATED TO INCLUDE THE MUST HAVE ACCESSORY FOR 2020
Late 2019, this product hit the market and has revolutionized the ability of the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker & Air Crisper to create PERFECTLY grilled foods! If I could only keep one accessory, this would be it for sure.
The (affiliate link)Sear 'N Sizzle Grill Grate is designed perfectly for the Ninja Foodi 6.5 qt and the 8qt! I hope to do some testing soon on the new compact model (5 qt) and see how it works in that one.
It is made from hard anodized aluminum and is a superb conductor of heat! I have an infrared thermometer and the grill grate gets hotter than the temperature on the Ninja Foodi! This makes searing and grilling foods easier and faster!
There are two sides to the grill grate, one is for grilling and the other is used as a griddle. There are several ways to configure this accessory in the Ninja Foodi and I go over the different options in this video below as well as cook up a few things using the Sear 'N Sizzle. You don't want to be without this accessory, especially if you are interested in 360 meals, I have several recipes coming out soon that use this grill grate! You can find more information or purchase yours RIGHT HERE→ (affiliate link)Sear 'N Sizzle Grill Grate
Fat Daddio Cake Pans
Even if you never plan on making a cake, you will need a set of cake pans for the Ninja Foodi and the ones from Fat Daddio are the best! I've been using them for years and have never been disappointed. The quality is great, they are made from anodized aluminum and they don't rust!
You will use them for Pot in Pot cooking or also known as PIP. If you aren't familiar with this method, take a look at this article that goes all over pressure cooking: Pressure Cooking 101
These are flat walled pans which allow you to stack food in the Ninja Foodi without worrying about one pan falling into the other.
These pans heat evenly and quickly and also cool down very quickly, which prevents overcooking. I have made everything from cakes to curry in these pans and I absolutely love them!
The two sizes I use the most are the 8" x 2" and the 6" x 2". I recommend getting 2 of the same size to get started. I just recently saw that they have a 7" x 2" size and those would be a good option too! The reason I use the 2" size and not the 3" size is for better stacking options.
The inner pot of the 6.5 qt is about 6", but because the bottom is slightly convex you cannot stack 2 of the 3" height at the same time. You could also get one 3" height and one 2" height and I think those would stack fine. If you have the 8 qt Ninja Foodi you will be able to fit 2 of the 3" height because of the extra space.
Mix N Chop
The Mix N Chop is one of the my most used Ninja Foodi accessories and it works great with the nonstick inner pot of the Ninja Foodi. It is made of nylon and will not scratch the inner pot, allowing you to break up ground meats with ease.
The unique beveled pinwheel blades make easy work of cutting through food. It even works on partially frozen ground meats like ground beef, turkey, and sausage!
The Mix N Chop is heat resistant up to 428° F and is dishwasher safe.
You can see me using this in many of my YouTube videos, like this one for Sausage Gravy.
The one I have is from Pampered Chef and it is made of high quality nylon and is dishwasher safe. You can find the Pampered Chef Mix N Chop right HERE.
You can also purchase a similar item on Amazon (Good Cook Hamburger Meat Chopper) , but I don't have this one and can't speak to its quality.
Silicone Finger Mitts
These (affiliate link)Silicone Finger Mitts work great to protect your fingers from hot pans and are a definite must have Ninja Foodi accessory! Whether you are pressure cooking, steaming, or using any of the TenderCrisp functions, these little mitts will be your best friend when lifting out the rack, basket, or any other hot pan.
Cake Tester
I know this one is kind of unusual, but let me tell you it really comes in handy with the Ninja Foodi! There are two sides to this tool, one is nylon coated and the other is a pointed and thin metal.
Not only does it work great to loosen edges from nonstick pans, test your cakes/breads for doneness; it also helps clean the Ninja Foodi clean! I kid you not!
I have two of them and use one for cooking and the other one for cleaning! The pointed metal end helps clean the rack when bits of food get stuck in the grooves of the rack. The nylon end is great for scraping off burned on food on the TenderCrisp lid and scraping off stuck food on the legs of the basket!
You can grab a couple of Cake Testers right HERE!
Canning Rack
A canning rack might sound a little strange since you can't actually pressure can in the Ninja Foodi, but this rack is PERFECT for turning your fry basket into a double tiered fry basket!
One of the members in our Facebook group Ninja Foodi 101 posted about this and I immediately ordered it! It allows for great airflow around both layers and foods crisp evenly.
There are some other uses for this rack when used in combination with the 8" Fat Daddio Cake Pan or the basket, like turning the Ninja Foodi into a double boiler. You will see more on that in one of my upcoming videos where I poach eggs and make Hollandaise sauce at the same time!
There are several sizes that this Turbokey Canning Rack come in and the size that fits perfectly is the 7.9" with 2" legs.
I use those little red protectors so that the legs don't fall into the grooves of the basket. People also use them on the rack to protect against heat when lifting the rack in and out of the Ninja Foodi. Honestly, I don't see a benefit to this, the silicone material gets very hot when using the TenderCrisp Lid. I prefer my red silicone finger mitts! If you are interested in these protectors, you can find them HERE.
Springform Pan
As far as basic cookware accessories for the Ninja Foodi, a springform pan is at the top of the list! There are many sizes and styles of springform pans, but I recommend getting a 7" springform pan for a couple of reasons. It fits on the rack perfectly and most pressure cooker recipes are written for a 7" pan.
The 8" will fit and it will work fine so if you already have an 8" Springform pan, go ahead an use it! You will want to alter your cooking times when making recipes that call for a 7" pan.
I decided to spend the extra money and purchase a springform pan from Pampered Chef. Yes, I am a consultant and I do get a little discount, but even then I could have gotten one a lot cheaper on Amazon.
The reason I didn't is because of experience. I can't tell you the number of inexpensive springform pans that I have purchased in my life. I used to make a lot of desserts for a restaurant I owned and tried the cheapo pans. I found they rusted, bent, and didn't hold up over time and use.
I have had my Pampered Chef Springform Pan for about 3 months now and I use it all the time. It has not chipped, bent, or developed any rust and I put it into the dishwasher all the time (it does advise to hand wash, but I don't). I am also very pleased with the way it seals; so far, even thinner liquids have not leaked.
I recently used this pan in my video for Mexican Manicotti and the thin tomatillo salsa did not leak one bit! This video was a fun Ninja Foodi challenge between me and another YouTube creator, CJ. Be sure to check out his YouTube channel, Cooking with CJ, he does a lot of Ninja Foodi recipes and is a super nice guy!
There is another type of Springform Pan that I might purchase in the near future because it looks very interesting! It is a 7" Fat Daddio push style cheesecake pan. I don't have any experience with this type of pan, but I will update this post after I use it for a while.
Stackable Stainless Steel Pressure Cooker Pans
I have to be honest here and let you know that these pans are a lot thinner than the Fat Daddio ones and stay hot for a long time! I don't use them as much as the Fat Daddio ones, but for things like a double decker lasagna and making 2 pans of stuffed shells they work great.
The type of stackable pans I have are no longer available, but you can find a very similar set right here: Stainless Steel Stackable Pans
They are deeper than the Fat Daddio pans, so you can cook more at once.
While not my absolute favorite set of pans, these do come in handy and I'd bet they will work great for steaming fresh vegetables!
Stackable Bamboo Steamer
Of all the Ninja Foodi Accessories I have purchased, this one is the most exciting to me! Although I don't have a lot of recipes at the moment that use this Ninja Foodi accessory, I have quite a few in the works!
One recipe that I made using this is my Orange Beef & Broccoli. I absolutely love the way my rice turns out when I pressure cook using the bamboo steamer. The 6" x 2" Fat Daddio pans fit perfectly inside and I find that my rice texture is absolutely perfect when I cook it this way.
The only downside to this Stackable Bamboo Steamer is that both layers won't fit with the lid on in the 6.5 qt Ninja Foodi. This has not been a big deal for me at all, but I do wish the entire thing fit. If you have the 8qt Ninja Foodi, you shouldn't have any trouble fitting the whole thing into your pot.
This bamboo steamer is perfect for steaming dumplings, fresh vegetables, fish, and many other things. I promise you will be seeing me use this a lot in the near future! You can grab yours right here ⇒ Stackable Bamboo Steamer
Pressure Cooker Bakeware Sling
This is a silicone sling made for lifting pans out of a pressure cooker and it works great! Any pans 7" or less fit perfectly onto this sling and the bottom is raised slightly so the pans can be out of the liquid used for pressure cooking. This sits lower than the rack that came with the Ninja Foodi or the steam basket, so you have a little more room for stacking pans when cooking with the PIP method.
You can also use it to PC eggs!
The (affiliate link)Pressure Cooker Bakeware Sling is one of the most popular accessories that I see people posting about loving!
I just got mine a few weeks ago, so I'm sure I'll be figuring out more ways to put this to great use!
7" Ring Mold Pan
This is one of my most recent purchases and I have to tell you I laughed when I opened the box! It looks so small, like an over sized donut, and I considered returning it. Thankfully, I didn't because I LOVE IT!
Personally, I like that it doesn't have a design like a lot of bundt pans; it's super easy to clean! Since I just recently purchased it, I haven't had a lot of time to experiment with it, but I made an Orange Spice Bread that turned out great!
I purchased the 7" Ring Mold Pan from Fat Daddio, but honestly, any 7" ring mold or bundt pan will do the trick!
Having some type of ring mold pan will allow you to make foods that might have a hard time getting done in the center under pressure. Cake mixes are a perfect example. A pressure cooked cake is super moist, but it is almost impossible to get it done in the center.
I'm working on a pound cake recipe using this mold right now, so stay tuned for that recipe video!
Silicone Egg Bite Mold
Last, but not least, the Silicone Egg Bite Mold! This one is kind of funny because I don't use it for eggs! Personally, I think eggs stick to silicone way too much despite using butter/grease and I hate cleaning it. If you have any tips or tricks, please let me know!
I have not tried traditional egg bites, so those probably work great. I'm more of a poached egg person and this just doesn't work for that purpose... but that is fine because it works great for many other purposes!
You can use the Egg Bite Mold to make meatballs, meatloaf, cake pops, mini muffins, and so many other things!
One of my favorite things to make in the Silicone Egg Bite Mold is these Chocolate Cake Bites!

I am new to the Ninja Foodi and I don’t know if i’m doing something wrong when we cook in it works great my only dislike is that bottom great that we cook on everything just sticks to it and it turns hard as a rock so I have to soak it for an hour or so and then I can wipe it off and am I doing something wrong is there something I can do to keep that from happening
Louise
I would have to know what bottom grate you are referring to. Which model of the Ninja Foodi do you have and what are you making when this happens?
Northern Giuseppe
I cut a round piece of parchment paper thats a little bigger (inch all around) then the inner bowl bottom. I place then in the bottom of my 8qt foodi. Then I place a couple of "choose-a-size" paper towels on top (shape of cross). This helps protect the bottom of inner pot (from metal racks). After cooking anything greasy with Tendercrisp lid, I simply replace the paper towels (they absorb the drippings). Makes cleaning much easier for me. I've used my Ninja everyday since I bought it 13 months ago. Love it! However, I started my "hack" a little late and my porceling inner pot is done. I've ordered a gold lion stainless steel one.will still use hack with that to make it easy to keep clean.

I don't see the multi-level dehydrator rack on your Amazon page. Did they stop making it? Is there one you can recommend? Some users report that Ninja's own brand can bend or fall appart. Another on Amazon is reported to have sharp, unburnished edges. Hoping for personal experience, if possible. Thanks!
Louise
There is one that someone just sent me to test out. I haven't used it yet though, so once I do and if it is of good quality, I will add it to my Amazon store.

Where can I get the shallow covered freezer pans you used for the coffee toffee ice cream? Can’t find them or anything similar. Thanks! Bought the hot and cold ninja blender just because of this recipe.
Louise
They are from Pampered Chef, here is the link: https://www.pamperedchef.com/pws/thesaltedpepper/shop/Featured+Collections/Everything+You+Never+Knew+You+Needed/Freezer+Storage+Containers/100078
I hope you love the blender!

Will the pampered chef QUICK COOKER RACKS fit Inside the Ninja Foodi?
Louise
Yes, they do.
Cathy
Is there a storage cart that you would reccomend for the food 6.5 in the kitchen?
Louise
Several have been recommended on Ninja Foodi 1o1 on Facebook, but I'm not sure which is best. I don't have one.
Lesley
Can you use cooking liner in the ninja foodie when you are pressure cooking.
Louise
No, I don't think so. It would probably melt.
Donna
I purchased an appliance sliding tray from Amazon that works great for the countertop, being able to push under cabinet when not using, then push lever in front to slide out ready for use. No problem with the Foodi weight, hope this helps
